We’re sorry your favourite payment method isn’t available for your order right now. To finish your purchase, please simply choose one of the other available options at checkout.

To keep your shopping experience secure, the payment methods we offer are reviewed for every single order. While we don’t have access to the specific details behind why a method isn’t showing up, we make sure you always have several reliable ways to complete your purchase.

Can Customer Care change this for me?

Unfortunately, our Customer Care team can’t change the payment methods offered to you at checkout or see the specific reasons why a method might be unavailable.

Why is this happening?

Different factors can influence which payment methods you see at any given time. Each time you place an order, our system automatically checks several criteria to update the methods available to you. For more details on how this works, you can check our Terms & Conditions.

Did you receive a reminder from us even after you made a payment or returned items?

When did you make your payment to us?

If it was less than 5 days ago, please allow 5 working days for us to register the payment. As confirmation, you will automatically receive an email from us. If you have received a reminder by e-mail or letter and have already paid, please ignore the communication.

Did you make a return?

A return may take up to 14 days to be credited back to you. We will send you a confirmation email as soon as we’ve processed your return.

Have you used the correct payment reference?

Please check the information you used for the transaction. If you used something other than your order number as a payment reference or have entered an incorrect order number, please allow 5 working days for us to check your payment. We will then either process your payment or issue a refund. Please check your bank account to see if you have received a refund from us. If we sent you a refund, we ask you to please pay for the order again using the correct payment reference. If you haven’t received a payment confirmation or a refund within 5 working days, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.

Have you paid for several orders in one bank transfer?

If you have paid the outstanding invoice amounts for several orders together, it is quite possible that we are unable to allocate the amounts to the individual orders. Please contact our customer service in this case, and provide us with the order number(s) in question, as well as the payment reference that you gave.

Below you can download invoices for your recent Zalando orders and some of the Partner orders. If you have just placed your order, please wait until the parcels have shipped for the invoices to become available. If your order hasn’t been shipped yet, it will not appear on the list below.

Your order isn’t clickable?

Invoices for most Partner items and gift vouchers can’t be downloaded here. In this case, you can contact our Customer Care team for a copy of the invoice. Please specify the order number in your request.

Not sure how much your open amounts are?

You can find an overview of all your open amounts in your customer account .

If you would like to revoke your consent, please get in touch with our customer care team through the contact buttons shown at the bottom.

Please have the bank account number or IBAN that you would like to remove ready beforehand. In addition, you have an 8-week right of withdrawal, with which you can cancel the direct debit transaction via your bank.

You can pay by credit card using the following providers:

  • Discover

Please note:

  • You may see a pre-authorisation amount on your credit card, however your card will not be charged until your order is dispatched.

  • If you return an item you will be refunded to the original payment method.

  • If your order is cancelled you might still see the pre-authorisation amount on your credit card statement. Depending on your bank, this may take up to 30 days to be released.

How secure are my payment transactions via Zalando?

We use certified SSL encryption for the secure transmission of your data. Your bank, PayPal, and credit card details are safe.

3DS Authentication

Our checkout process uses 3DS Authentication (Visa Secure, Mastercard Identity Check and American Express SafeKey). These services further protect your card account against unauthorised use when you shop with us. Please get in touch with your card issuer directly if you need more detailed information or encounter a problem with the authentication process. Sadly we have no control over the payment authentication process, meaning we cannot assist with any authentication inquiries.

 

If you choose to pay via PayPal, you will be redirected directly to PayPal at the end of the ordering process.

Please note:

  • If you return an item or if your order was cancelled, you will be refunded to your PayPal account. You can define in your PayPal account whether the amount should be forwarded to your bank account.

  • If your PayPal account is closed, we reserve the right to refund you to your bank account. It is not possible to choose a different PayPal account for the refund.

After placing the order you will receive a confirmation email including the necessary details for the bank transfer.

Your ordered items will be reserved for you (for 7 days) until your payment is received. We will start packing your order once we’ve received and processed your payment which may take up to 5 working days. For that reason the delivery time of your prepayment order may be a bit longer.

Please note:

  • Each order you make will need to be paid for separately.

  • If you return an item or if your order was cancelled, you will be refunded to the original bank account.

With the option to pay by Invoice, you’ll only need to pay for the items you keep.

At the check out when completing your order, you can choose from the range of payment methods offered. If you select ‘Invoice’ you’ll then have the option to pay for your order via PayPal, credit card, or bank transfer for the items you wish to keep. 

How do I pay for my kept items?

We will send you an email 4 days after your order is shipped with a link to your payment page. Just follow the link in the email and we will guide you through the payment process.

You can then select the items you’d like to keep and pay for them with your desired payment method by either credit card, PayPal or bank transfer.

When should I pay for my order? 

You’ll have 14 days to pay for your order. Just in case you forget, we’ll send you a reminder 4 days before your invoice due date. 

What happens if I want to return an item?

If you would like to return an item, create a return online and you will be charged the new outstanding amount for the items you’ve kept. 

Please be aware that unfortunately, this option is still unavailable for some items sold from our Partners.

 

At checkout, you can select SEPA direct debit as your payment method. You will need to provide the account holder name and IBAN. You will then confirm your agreement to the withdrawal of the full invoice amount.

Direct debit authorisation is valid for 36 months, so you won’t have to enter your bank details again for subsequent orders. You can save up to five different IBANs and select them for other orders in the future.

When will the order amount be debited?

Once your order is shipped we will debit the open amount from your bank account. If an item was cancelled, only the amount of the shipped items will be debited.

How will I be refunded?

Your refund is always credited to the account from which it was debited.

It may take up to 5 business days for the refund to be visible on your account.

Klarna allows you to split your purchase into 3 interest-free payments. After placing your order, you’ll be redirected to Klarna. You’ll need to either log in or create a Klarna account to complete the transaction. Your payment will usually be confirmed within a few moments, and your order will be processed instantly.

Klarna Pay in 3 is only available for orders with minimum value of 25,00 € and maximum value of 5000,00 €.

Please note:

  • By choosing Klarna as your payment method, you will be agreeing to Klarna’s terms and conditions. You are entering into an agreement with Klarna Bank AB, Sveavägen 46, 11143 Stockholm.

  • Klarna Pay in 3 is not available if your billing and shipping countries don’t match.

How do I pay by Apple Pay?

Paying with Apple Pay is quick, easy, and secure. The steps may be different depending on the device and browser you are using.

Using iPhone, iPad or Safari browser

  1. Select Apple Pay as your payment method in the Payment section or at the Checkout.

  2. Simply confirm the payment using your Face ID, Touch ID, or passcode.

Using another browser (like Chrome or Firefox)

You can still use Apple Pay on other browsers, but you’ll need your iPhone (with iOS 18 or later) to complete the payment.

  1. Choose Apple Pay as your payment method.

  2. A unique QR code will pop up on your screen. Scan this with your iPhone’s camera.

  3. Review the payment details on your phone and securely confirm it with Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode.

  • To use Apple Pay, you’ll need a supported card from a participating bank, and the feature may not be available in all countries.

  • Some features might work differently depending on your device, browser or software.
