What are pre-owned items?

The item was first sold on Khan, and you are seeing the original photos from when the item was in brand new condition. The item you receive will be between new with tags and very good condition.

Keep in mind that Pre-owned items are single items and they usually only exist in one size.

Who is selling pre-owned items?

All pre-owned items are sold by ‘Khan Recommerce’, a Khan brand. There are no customer-to-customer sales at Khan. However, you have the possibility to sell your pre-owned items at Khan.

Why is my pre-owned item no longer available?

Each pre-owned item at Khan is unique and only exists in one size. If you fall in love with a pre-owned item you need to move fast.

How do I know if I ordered a pre-owned item?

All pre-owned products are marked “Pre-owned”. On the product page of the item, you’ll see ‘Sold by Khan Recommerce’. You will also see this note in your user account after you’ve purchased the item.

Are the pre-owned items checked for authenticity?

Yes. Each item passes several times through the trained hands of our quality control and photo production team, who keep a special eye on the authenticity of our pre-owned treasures. Despite our extensive testing, we cannot guarantee that 100% of all items are genuine. As soon as we suspect that an item might not be authentic, we remove it from our assortment. If you receive an item that you are not sure is authentic, our customer service team will be happy to help you.

Can I return pre-owned items?

Our 30-day free returns policy also applies to pre-owned items purchased at Khan. Please note that the returned items must be in the same condition that you received them in. It’s important that you do not use or wear the items except for trying them on.

Exchange of pre-owned items is unfortunately not possible because these items often are single items.

  • How can I return a pre-owned item?

Our 30-day free returns policy also applies to second hand items purchased at Khan. Please note that the returned items must be in the same condition as you received them in.

Please generate a return code or return label through your account to make sure your return is free and sent to the right address.

How to make a return:

  1. Pack your items in the original package and generate a return code to send back your items. Make sure to cover up or remove the original delivery barcode on the box.

  2. Drop off your parcel at a DHL or Hermes location of your choice.

  3. Keep your receipt from the courier until your refund has been processed.

  4. Receive your refund within 14 days after you handed over the return parcel to the carrier.

 

Return items

To sell items you’ve bought from us, go to “Sell back items” in your account and follow these steps:

  1. Select your items: Choose up to 20 lightly worn items. We’ll let you know right away how much each item is worth. The maximum value for a single sell box is 200€.

  2. Submit your items: You’ll receive an email with your free shipping label. Alternatively, you can download the label directly from your account.

  3. Ship your sell box: Pack your items into a durable box. Make sure every item is like-new, clean, and dry. Then, simply drop off your box with DHL.

Important shipping rules

To ensure we can process your items and issue your payout quickly, please keep these rules in mind:

  • One parcel per sell box: Do not split your items into multiple parcels. We cannot process items that arrive in a separate box, and these will be donated to our charity partner.

  • Use our label only: Our labels are digitally linked to your specific sell box and can only be used once. If you use a different label, we won’t be able to identify your items or issue your payout.

Get your gift card

Once we receive your box, we’ll quality-check every item. This usually takes up to 28 days. You’ll find your gift card code in your emails and under “Sell back items” in your account.

If you have like-new items bought through Khan in your wardrobe, you can send them to us in exchange for a Khan gift card. Khan can also donate the value to a charity organisation if you prefer.

We cannot accept the following:

  • Items with signs of use such as stains, holes or odour

  • Intimate items such as underwear, lingerie and swimwear

  • Counterfeit items and/or items without a brand label

  • Beauty items

  • Toys

  • Items that include batteries like light up shoes

  • Items that are still within their 30-day return period.

Please note:

  • Many items that have been purchased as Pre-owned on Khan and that fulfil our acceptance criteria are also eligible for selling.

Yes, you can cancel your sell box for a short time after registering it. If the option is no longer available, please keep your items and do not send them to us. 

Please note:

  • Your sell box must reach us within 6 months, otherwise it will be cancelled automatically.

  • If you send items from a box that’s already been cancelled, we’ll donate them as we can’t process them anymore.

Items rejected during the goods check (e.g. due to signs of wear) will be sent back to you or donated to charity after consultation with you.

If the parcel can’t be delivered back to you, it will be returned to our warehouse and stored for two weeks. If you do not contact us within those two weeks, the items will be donated.

Please be aware that if the items we receive from you do not match the items you submitted digitally and were accepted by us, we will donate these items and not send them back to you.

Do I have to pay anything for the return if my item was rejected?

No, you don’t have to pay for returns.

How do I find the right order in the contact form?

To make sure your request reaches the right team straight away, follow these steps:

  1. Click “Need more help?” at the bottom of this article.

  2. Select “Send email” to open the contact form.

  3. Fill in your contact details and select “Yes” for the question: “Is your question related to an existing order?”

  4. Open the drop-down menu under “Order number” to see your orders.

  5. Look for the relevant order number. Sell box order numbers always start with “KHAN” (e.g. KHAN1234567).

  6. Leave a message and hit “Send”.

Tip: If you have multiple sell boxes, check the creation date to help you pick the right one.

Once you submit the form, we’ll route your message to our dedicated team so we can help you as quickly as possible.

What if I can’t find the right order number?

Don’t worry. All sell boxes are listed with the prefix “ZIR”. If you’ve sent more than one box, the creation date next to the order number will help you identify the correct one.
